Deputies Searching For Assault Suspect; Considered Armed & Dangerous
Deputies are looking for a man who they say assaulted a woman and a child on Sunday.
Mitchell St. Clair, Jr. of Washington is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, second degree kidnapping, assault inflicting serious bodily injury, possession of a firearm by felon, assault on a child under 12, assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present and communicating threats.
Beaufort County deputies say they were called to a home on Whichards Beach Road Sunday afternoon. They found the woman with multiple cuts to her face and the child with a swollen area on her forehead.
St. Clair is considered armed and dangerous. In January the man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop.
