Three people were taken to the hospital late Friday afternoon after a serious crash on Highway 264 between Greenville and Washington.
It happened west of Pactolus.
A vehicle crashed ending upside down in the grass separating the four lanes. Debris was all over the road, in both the west and eastbound lanes. Officials say at least one person was pinned, and that there were two adults and one child in the vehicle.
There is no word how serious the injuries are or what caused the crash. The highway patrol tells WITN the vehicle was traveling east, went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and flipped over several times, landing upside down in the median.
As of 5:45 p.m., traffic remained tied up but was moving in both directions. Officials hoped to have the road fully opened by 6:00 p.m.
