Cleanup & Damage Assessment From Storm Continues

The cleanup from Sunday's storms continued in Eastern Carolina Tuesday as people and businesses also tallied up the damage.

In Washington, many spent the day removing branches and even fallen trees from their property.

Members of the Church of the Good Shepard say the cost estimate to remove a tree that fell on top of their sanctuary is $12,000.

Shannon Niederhauser's home was damaged by the storm. "It just doesn't feel real. Like, I feel like I'm in a movie or something. It's so surreal. I mean, you don't come home and see a tree through where you live."

Niederhouser estimates the damage at $40,000.
