A car crashed into a Walgreens in Washington Monday morning, getting stuck between the building and one of the barriers that is supposed to protect the buildings from cars.
The accident happened at the Walgreens on 12th Street just across from Vidant Beaufort Hospital right after 8 a.m.
A witness says the woman's car was backing up, and then she somehow wedged the vehicle between the concrete barriers alongside the building. There did not appear to be any damage to the building, and the Walgreens did not close.
The driver was put on a stretcher, but she did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
Washington police, fire and EMS crews responded.
