A candidate for North Carolina governor, U.S. Representative Bob Etheridge stopped at a popular Beaufort County restaurant Friday.

The democrat stopped by Frank's pizza in Washington to talk and listen to potential voters as Tuesday's primary rapidly approaches. Etheridge spoke to us about his plan to get the education system in our state back on track. He also touched on an issue many are concerned about: developing his jobs plan.

"I think the way you do it is let each county come up with their plan- all hundred counties. What's in Washington, Beaufort or in Harnett County are different from what Wake needs. We do that. Then we develop. We have a statewide plan. We have a master plan we can work off of," said Etheridge.

Etheridge, state Rep. Bill Faison, and Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton are the leading contenders running to be the democratic nominee for governor.
