Armed Robbery At Washington KFC

Washington Police and Beaufort County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for two armed suspects who were wearing ski masks and robbed the Washington KFC.

A call came in to dispatchers around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday about a hold-up.

There are limited details at this time.

It's believed two people were involved. Both were wearing ski masks. One reportedly had a silver handgun while the other had a semiautomatic. It's not known if they got away with anything.

We're working to get more details on the incident, but this may be the second in the past month.

I'm completely appalled at the way some people are bashing Sheriff Jordan. I think he does a fine job. Just because in the past we had lazy, fat people on the department it gave the dept a bad now. Look at them now, every single one ready to do whatever they have to do to get the job done. They are ALL in tip top shape. Just because he runs the department with military precision, it has ruffled some feathers. Frankly, I am completely satisfied with the way Sheriff Jordan does his job. I called one night actually about 2 in the morning for someone trying to break into my barn. Within just a couple of minutes, I had 3 cars and people walking all over the property, including Sheriff Jordan. Just because he is all business and not a good ole boy, does not make him a bad sheriff. I would vote him in again and again.

Wait until you get one of his letters that state...due to a shortage of man power we are unable to investigate your crime at this time. If you received that response it was a very slow night or he is your neighbor. Your last sentence explains everything, if your standard is ineptness that is what you will get again and again.

You have not had the experience we have had. We can put our finger on the person who robbed my neighbor. Another neighbor watched him and they have never done any more than talk to us (several times) and said they would get back. Since then he has been reported going into rural mailboxes in our neighborhood. Another neighbor saw him doing this. He is still running free and doing no telling what. Late one night he was burning something in his back yard (large fire). That was a little suspicious, being we live a couple of miles from the garbage dump. This is scary. Yes, they came out for the robbery, but nothing has been done. As I said, we know who did it. If they had investigated before the items were disposed of, they would have had evidence. Oh, well. I can see how the west was wild!

If someone sees another person going into a mail box they need to contact the USPS. It is a federal crime for anyone but the owner of the mail box and the USPS to open the box. Federal crimes have real time. Whoever saw the person opening the mailbox needs to report it.

I doubt that the Sheriff's Dept is working with the PD as the article reads. God Jordan will not allow his people to work with any other agency. No other LE Agency is good enough to breathe the same air as his people. Really a shame but the truth hurts.

I see you have dealt with him also. He is a legend in his own mind. And it sickens me to think there are still people in Washington that want to turn "ALL" law enforcement over to him.

You are soooo right about Jordan. What he needs to realize is that there is only one God and He is much bigger than little Jordan.

Welp, now that these two have the KFC tucked under their belts, they'll be more confident about picking a bigger venue to heist, like a bank. They needed some practice first. One of them might be 'in training'.

Sounds like they are running out of places to rob in Greenville so they are going to Washington.

If there are 'real' gangs instead of just thugs around G-ville or as they refer now as 'ghetto vegas' this seems to be a new easy take-down. Most don't have alot of security and it is in and out. If this keeps lingering on ....... someone will get hurt --- like some of the Raleigh incideents -- or for lack of words, dead. Somehow there has to be a way to exercise these people out of society.

This is the 2nd time here recently I know for a fact. I just hope the cops catch these guys before they head into my place of employment. Honestly Washington is starting to become a city of crime, and only the people who work in public service can truly see how bad it is getting. Praying for all my fellow colleagues in the public service industry may we all continue too make it home safe to our families. Hourly wage is certainly not worth my life.

How rude and ignorant for your response to suggest that only black males are capable and committing crime. It is wrong for anyone of any race to commit such an offense. Please leave your racist views in your home or better yet educate yourself and remove the racism all together. God made all people in his image and likeness.

Thanks for making your racist opinion known. I'm guessing you're to afraid to confront them. How about you doing something instead of hiding behind 400 years of opportunity with nothing to show for yourself.

In the old days they had reporters that went out and gathered news, not just sit in an office and publish whatever the police and govt tell them.
