A student is in custody after this morning's fire at a Washington middle school.
Around 8:15 a.m. Washington fire, police and EMS were called to P.S. Jones Middle School for a small fire in one of the restrooms. The fire was quickly contained and minimal damage occurred.
Student were moved to a safe location and school was able to resume a short time later.
Police say they can't release any information on the juvenile taken into custody.

The Washington Police Department is handling the investigation into what started the fire inside the school. No officials will say exactly where in the school the fire started.
Fire crews say they were able to quickly contain the fire; however, the blaze put out a lot of smoke. Crews are working to clear the school of the smoke right now.
The students and staff who were evacuated were taking across the parking lot to John Small Elementary School. The fire was reported just after 8 a.m., according to school system officials.
District spokeswoman Sarah Hodges says students with classes in the back of the school where the fire started will finish the day in other parts of the building. All students will be dismissed at the normal dismissal time Wednesday afternoon.

It's not clear where the fire is in the school, though Hodges believed it was in the back of the building. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
Students and staff have been evacuated to nearby John Small Elementary School.
Hodges says the school was contacting parents of PS Jones Middle students to let them know about the situation.
No injuries have been reported.
