Aurora Man Accused Of Raping Runaway Teen

A Beaufort County man is accused of raping an underage runaway girl from Onslow County.

Deputies say Martin Brinson of Aurora turned himself in Friday to the Magistrate's Office on five counts of statutory rape and one count of statutory sexual offense.

Deputies say back on July 8th they found two runaways in Aurora, and they learned one had been a sexual assault victim at a home on Cayton Landing Road and in a wooded area on Mary's Chapel Church Road. The victim was between 13 and 15 years old.

Warrants were obtained, and the 22-year-old Brinson was jailed on an $80,000 secured bond.
