Three people have been indicted for last summer's armored car heist in Washington where more than a $1 million in cash was taken.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says two Person County men, Charles Moore, Jr. and Lenard Smith were indicted for the June 23rd hold-up at the Bank of American ATM on Carolina Avenue. The indictment says the two took approximately $1.2 million from the Garda armored vehicle as it was about to service the machine.
The two men were indicted Tuesday and appeared before a federal magistrate in Raleigh today.
A third suspect, Emmanuel Wallace III, also of Person County, was charged in a separate indictment last month.
During the robbery the two guards had their guns taken and afterward the company offered a $100,000 reward in the case.
