The 72-foot tall Schooner Jeanie B. is docked at the Washington waterfront.
The tall ship sailed up the Pamlico River and arrived just before five Wednesday afternoon.
On Thursday and Friday, the vessel will be offering free tours from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. On Saturday, the Jeanie B. will be offering free sailings from the docks of the City of Washington.
After this arrival celebration, the schooner will make Washington her permanent home and be available for corporate, family or group sailings throughout the year.
