Investigation Continues In Beaufort County Crash

The investigation continues into a fatal crash in Beaufort County Friday.

A young man charged earlier this week for dog fighting died in the single vehicle crash, according to authorities.

Highway Patrol says the accident happened early Friday morning on Neck Road off Turkey Trot Road.

Lawmen say 22-year-old Brandon Scott Davenport was ejected from a sport utility vehicle and killed in the crash.

They also report speed doesn't seem to be a factor in the crash and that they are investigating the accident. They said toxicology reports are being done.

Davenport was one of five people arrested and charged with dog fighting in Beaufort County in the past week.

Brandon was a good person, so he made a mistake what person hasn't made a mistake sometime in their life. Brandon would do anything for anyone. What happened to being innocent unitl proven guilty. Everybody should just let him rest in peace. These people that have comments about him and didn't know him should keep their thoughts to themselves. Brandon had a good heart and loved his friends and his family. God is the one that gets to judge; not the people that did not know Brandon.

To all those with negative comments...You should have been made to attend the funeral of our loved one! It was the most heartbreaking event of my life. To sit in the funeral home and hear the sobs of his mother, father, brothers and sisters, was torture. I hope that you (even with your nasty comments) never have to experience something like this in your life but if you do I hope you will remember what you wrote and how you made this family feel. Brandon, we will miss you so much! You were a gift to us all!

I sincerely hope that the Beaufort County Court Calendar website will soon remove this young man's name for charges that surely do not matter now. RIP young man.

This is not Michael Vick - and he is back playing football by the way - so everyone needs to back off and get the facts.

Barbara, IMO, based on previous stories, nbc/witn is a liberal group that does not care about individuals, only about how many people they can entice into reading their stories; ie. visiting their website.
