IT'S NOT FLOUR: Morehead City Baker Charged With Trafficking Cocaine

A Morehead City baker is in jail, accused of selling another kind of white powder out of his shop on Arendell Street.

Deputies say they've charged Ivan Hernandez-Degyves of Newport with six counts of trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. They say Degyves operates the Busy Bee's Bakery.

Deputies say they made undercover cocaine purchases from the 29-year-old man at his bakery. They say Degyves was supplying powder cocaine to other drug dealers in the county. At the bakery they seized drug paraphernalia and three firearms.

Degyves is in jail on a $150,000 bond.

FYI "Concerned Parent" the bakery is NOT next to an elementary school or an after school child care center. And to everyone else.. his wife is the owner of the bakery. She is a good person and is amazing at what she does.

It seems like every small business you go to has drugs going out the back. This is crazy, I really believe it our law enforcment would get more involved with this type of activity instead of trying to be big mocho men by clearing this kids out of the walmart parking lot for just meeting up and hanging out, this kinda stuff wouldnt happen.

Must not be a good baker. If he was doing a good business he wouldn't have time for selling drugs. Its called a 'front'. Still got caught didn't he!?

I will tan in my own back yard or beach and I will bake my own goodies. Is there anymore business I need to avoid because of drug dealing? Anyone else notice all the hispanics being arrested for one thing or another?

What's the difference, I'm sure their are many Canadian that get mistaken for Americans all the time. In California they are all Mexican, in NY they are Puerto Rican, in Florida they are Cuban. Whatever country has the most immigrants to your area is what all Hispanics are grouped into. I guess it should be Guatemalans or Hondurans around here if the truth was known. Either way they are all immigrants, many of them illegal.
