K-9 Leads Investigators To Cocaine Bust

A 31-year-old Beaufort County man is in jail on a 80-thousand dollar bond on drug related charges.

Abran Woolard faces charges of possession with intent to sell cocaine, maintaining a vehicle and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Deputies from the drug unit made the bust after they and their drug dog found scales and baggies in Woolard's home on Wednesday. He's in the Beaufort County Detention Center.

It never ceases to amaze me at how people will take up for the crackheads and potheads and any other drug user here in the area. If they are on drugs, their butts deserve to be in jail. When they run out of money, their the one's breaking into stuff and robbing people! 90% of B&E's and other property crimes are because of drug addiction. And about the snitching thing, quit doing stupid stuff and no one will tell on you! If you aren't doing anything wrong, then you won't have anything to worry about! Grow up and go out there and contribute to society and get a real job! And don't say there aren't any jobs in Beaufort County. Go back to school and get a degree of some kind so you can get an easy job or you can go out and get one that involves manual labor! It might not be fun but it's honest work instead of dealing drugs. And on another note, if you didn't spend your money on drugs, you would have money!! Do your part to make Beaufort County a better place to live

What about all the volenice dealing with the teenagers? Instead they have nothin better to do then go after the small time drug dealers. When the one that is suppling the drugs is actullaly sitting in there face. All this snitching was really good, all the snitch did was take the money to get there drugs. So what now!!! Its all been reused. Now this guy I know him. He's a good gentleman, family man and someone that you dont here about in the streets. If beaufort county can get jobs here, you wouldn't have to worry bout this type of drug stuff goin on. Some people don't have a choice. BEAUFORT COUNTY NEEDS JOBS JOBS JOBS!!!!!!!!!

@ leaveusalone: Wow! Wowsy wow wow wowsers! Unbelievable! Thanks for posting that. It's important for people to read things like this from the Joe Q. Public(s) out there. This is the kind of mentality that has no logic and is the kind of thought that comes from simple, shallow, selfish people.

Theif of a dog is a felony under NC State Law. Steal a drug dog, a police officer partner and I would not want to be the one they are looking for. Not a funny comment in any context.
