The Beaufort County Music Festival will celebrate music, art, and fellowship by the river in downtown Washington, NC on April 9th, 10th, and 11th 2010.
There will be an opening concert at the Turnage Theater on Friday, April 9th at 8pm, featuring the Lipbone Redding & Lipbone Orchestra, and the Holy Ghost Tent Revival.
Tunes will play all day at the Washington Waterfront, Turnage Theater and Civic Center on Saturday, April 10th. Admission is free with music lasting from 10am to 5pm.
Saturday night's feature concert at the Turnage Theater features bluegrass legends Alice Gerrard and the Herald Angels, Tony Williamson, and Jack Lawrence.
Bring a chair or blanket on Sunday, April 11th from Noon to 4pm, for a variety of gospel music on the river. At the Festival Park Main Stage, enjoy the sun and sky as you listen to acoustic rock, blues, bluegrass and roots-based gospel music. Keyzer Foods will supply fish dinners and all the fixin's for $7 a plate--there's a limited amount.
