Salvation Army Bell Ringers Brave Cold Weather

The mercury has dropped and temperatures went below the freezing mark Monday night.

It's especially cold for those who brave the elements for a living.

The sound is synonymous with the holidays, the ringing of the Salvation Army Bell.

Michael Gay spends eight hours a day outside raising money for charity.

Temperatures dropped into the 20's Monday night. It's a duty some might call crazy but not for those who ring the bell for a good cause.

Personally, it warms my heart to see the bell ringers out and about. THEY obviously think more of others than themselves. You never know when you will need help from someone....so remember that when you walk past them. God bless each and every one of the bell ringers and unselfish ppl - this world, needs alot more of them.
