Storm Updates From Counties Across Eastern Carolina

Emergency management officials are keeping a close watch on the storm.

WITN is checking in with emergency management in Eastern Carolina and will update information in this story as needed.


BEAUFORT COUNTY

Roads have standing water. Minor accidents reported.


CARTERET COUNTY

Water levels of 4 or 5 feet or more above normal can be expected through Friday along Downeast Carteret County. Some roads are impassable as of Thursday morning. Several large tree limbs are down on Bahia Lane in Cape Carteret.


CRAVEN COUNTY

Water levels of 3 or 4 feet above normal can be expected in portions of Craven County through Friday. Standing water on area roadways. Havelock experiencing flooding.


DARE COUNTY

Emergency officials are concerned that 14 to 16-foot surf over a period of four or five high tides could threaten infrastructure along the beach front.


DUPLIN COUNTY

No major concerns reported.


HYDE COUNTY

Significant flooding along coastal sections from Hatteras North is possible. Motorists should be alert for significant water on roadways and localized flooding in low areas. Roads are closed.


LENOIR COUNTY

There was some flooding reported in Lenoir County.


ONSLOW COUNTY

Numerous roads are impacted, near Jacksonville and Swansboro. Reports of flooding to car windows in Piney Green.

PAMLICO COUNTY

Water levels of 3 or 4 feet above normal can be expected in portions of Pamlico County into Friday.


PITT COUNTY

Some standing water on area roadways. Officials remind you not to drive through flooded roadways. Minor flooding is possible in low-lying areas. No major problems reported.
