A man says he was picking up his morning newspaper when he made a costly mistake.
Wade Waters tells WITN he drove his SUV through one of the plate glass windows at the front of Tayloe's Hospital Pharmacy. It's located at 601 E. 12th St. in Washington, across from the Beaufort County Hospital.
Waters said he had just picked up his morning newspaper just before 6:30 a.m. Waters said his feet somehow got tangled, and he hit the gas. His vehicle drove through the front of the pharmacy, completely shattering one of the plate glass windows. Two-thirds of the Ford Explorer went into the pharmacy. The business was not open at the time.
No one, including Waters, was hurt. Waters told WITN he was embarrassed.
Washington Police confirmed the incident was just an accident.
