I have worked with the public in washington for 25 years and this type of behavior has always been in this area. It is called Public Housing. If you don't like what is going on in your hood then open your eyes and mouth and call the Police and take notes of who and what is going on. Or another choice is to call Opharrow and his clowns and allow them to police your neighborhood. No police department in our neighborhood ! your right you need the National Guard with automatic weapons to stop the corner drugs deals and street crime committed DAILY and HOURLY in these areas.I didn't see anything or nothing and I don't stay here will continue to get you shot or someone else killed. Next time it may be the one you love.

I was born and raise in Washington and all of the years that I can remember, their been uncounted crimes and murder..WPD is doing the best they can..Why,wouldn't the community want a 2nd police department..They need to put one right on 9th and 4th street..Im 29 years old and I hate going to Washington..I move and I don't want to come back because the violent acts,is unthinkable..People are hating on the WPD bc they doing their job..I been in trouble before, and I can't once blame the WPD for what I did.Stop dealing drugs and breaking the law and you wouldn't have to worry about them..I'm a black woman and I give the WPD,the D.A.,Alan Jordan (if his til the sheriff) 2 thumbs up for trying they best to keep Washington safe, from the WANT-2-BE thugs and drug dealers..GREAT JOB,you got my vote!! WASHINGTON P.D. ROCKZ

If im not mistaking, it said polce responded to a fight, not a shooting. Meaning the shooting took place in the time it took WPD to respond. Smh. If i'm a criminal, why would i sign a petition to have a police department put right in the neighborhood? How much sense does that make to u? None, im sure. I'm sure most of you commenting live nowhere near the area and have only read about the crime rate or seen it on the news. You're on the outside looking in, yet have so much to say. Judgmental, are we? The WPD should patrol the area more. You all that don't live near the area should stop riding the WPD because u really don't know what goes on in that neighborhood. Funnily u get offended because i say the WPD is doing nothing to rid the neighborhood of crime, which they aren't or the crime rate would be going down and not up. WPD sucks point blank, might as well let the criminals run the town since they cannot seem to control them.

Please WPD, don't bother these 4th, 7th and 9th streey areas. We need the activity to stay in those areas. We don't want the roaches disturbed as to bring them to good neighborhoods. Do, however, keep the Plymouth, Gville and wmston influence out of here.

I am from plymouth and I know this young man parents he was raised by loving parents. As parents we raised our children and pray that they grow up and live the way we raised them but they have a mind of their own and they choose to do the things they do. As a Christian I pray for my children, grandchildren and all children. And I pary that young Mr. Carter and Mr.Marshall have learned and when God bring them through this they will choose a better way to live there lives. God Bless the both of you and your families.

do you pay taxes? if you dont pay taxes then that could be the problem with the police department, since they use your tax money. if you dont pay taxes, please get a job and contribute so that the police department in our city can be good enough for you. by the way, being under investigation because some disgruntled officer pulled the race card does not constitute the the police department as 'a crook'. i could go on the news and say you were racist (hypothetically), does that make you one? or a crook? use reason with judgement.

Would it not be better to say we need to try and stop crime? But as YOU put it "We have gotta stop all this black on black crime soon". This is obviously a racist comment and I do not know why WITN would allow this to be posted unless they just like the controversy to keep more people coming to and posting on their site. This is the problem that plagues us as a society. No matter what color the skin is we all have to live together as a society to prosper. This is very troublesome that one would be so much against helping all humans instead of someone that just happens to be darker than another. From one human being to another we have to educate our youth, instill values of old in our youth and love everyone.
