Tense Moments For Area Worker

A worker had to be rescued after he fell out of his cherry-picker and dropped about 8 feet Wednesday afternoon in Beaufort County.

Fortunately his safety harness kicked in and stopped the fall.

We're told he was quickly rescued and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It happened at the corner of Brick Kiln and River Roads where workers with E and R Incorporated are replacing utility poles.
