One Illinois biker is riding for a great cause. His wife battled Ovarian Cancer for years, now he's trying to raise money and awareness for the disease, plus show her how much he cares.
Craig Broeder's goal is to ride more than 9,000 miles in 100 days. On Saturday he passed through Washington on his way to New Bern and says he's bearing the conditions.
"Hot and muggy, roads a little narrow but overall pretty good, more people ask if I want water in the South, compared to NYC where they move you along.”
What's getting Broeder through this daring feat is the relationship he has with his long lasting companion and advises others going through similar hardships to stay strong and remember why they fell in love in the first place.
Dr. Broeder and his wife aim to make it back to Texas, their starting point by August 25Th, the date of the couple’s 25Th wedding anniversary.
