John Bryant is a person of interest in the case of Glen McCullough

Deputies say they have positively identified a body found in Beaufort County last week as that of a missing man.

Captain Kenneth Watson tells WITN News that the body is that of Glen McCullough, Jr. Watson says they know how McCullough died, but are not releasing that information yet.

His body was found Thursday evening on Little Egypt Road in Blounts Creek.

Watson says they have no suspects in custody and they're still looking for John Bryant of Chocowinity as a person of interest.

Deputies say they are now looking for a person of interest in the case of a Beaufort County man who was last seen May 30th.

John Bryant, 35 of Chocowinity has not been charged with any crime, but deputies say they would like to talk to him abut the disappearance of Glen McCullough, Jr.

Last Thursday night deputies discovered a body on Little Egypt Road in Blounts Creek. While the body is consistent with McCullough's description, investigators are awaiting positive identification and a cause of death from the Medical Examiner's Office.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bryant should call the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office at 252-946-7111.

I am older than Glenn but knew him as I was from the same town. My prayers go out to the family...We know no matter what he did not deserve this. My deepest sympathies as you deal with his loss...

My thoughts and prayers go out to Glen's parents and his family. You may never understand why this occurred, but be rest assured justice prevail. The scriptures say, "Vengence is mine saith the Lord" and the Lord will repay. I pray comfort and peace for you during your time of bereavement. Tiffany, hold onto God's unchanging hand and do what Glen would want done--raise his children, ensure their safety and take good care of yourself. The support you need is available, but I want you to look to God Tipp and seek his face; he will bring you though this situation. Tomorrow will be hard, but as each day goes by it will get a little easier. Glen left a legacy, his children and thus a part of him lives on. I love you sweetie and call me if you needed--night or day.

I'm with person 4rm Blounts Creek..My hearts go out 2 the McCullough family but I'm been knowin Lynelle for all my life and I realyy don't think his capable of what they sayin he did..We haven't heard from Lynelle either, since this incident, either.something might had happen 2 him 2.Some people live 2 live their lives on the fast lane and their are bad consequences that come with that.I'm deeply hurt by all of this and my heart going out 2 all families that involved in this tragic ordeal.Don't get me wrong. You don't really now a person 100% so if lynelle did do something so tragic, then he need 2 face up 2 theses rumors that going on out here..you only making yourself look more guilty 4 running. The family in enough pain. Please ease 1 inch of pain and turn yourself in 4 questioning...God Bless the Mccullough Family.God never put on more then you can bear.Glen in a better place now..He is watching over yall.he will make sure, whoever did this will get caught.

My prayers goes out to the McCullough family. Nobody has the right to take a life from anyone, don't just assume that the person in interest is the one who took a life away; let the investigators handle the case and stop jumping to conclusions. Personally I know Lynelle and I don't think that he is capable of a crime such as this. May God Bless Both Families!

My prayers go out to the MCCullough family. I can only imagine what you are going through because I have a son and it hurts me to no that someone could have done this to Glen. HE DID NOT DESERVE THIS!! What ever difference him an Lionel or whoever had it did not give him the right to do anything to Glen, what gave them the right! Lionel you need to face up to what is going on. You are innocent until proven guilty, you need to come on an talk to the police the longer you hide the more guilty you look .This is a terrible time and my heart and prayers goes out to the MCCullough.PeeWee and Sandra,I am sorry for your lost may the lord bring the confront to you and your family that you will need to get you through this. This truly a sadden time for everyone who knew Glenn, may the Lord bring each of you the strenght you all need to move forward. Faithfully Yours!!
