Power Restored To Eastern Carolina

Saturday morning around 10,000 people lost power in Eastern Carolina, it was restored at about 10:30am.

Tideland EMC customers in Beaufort, Hyde, and Washington counties experienced outages; the outages effected those north of the Pamlico River except for Dare County.

Dominion Power customers also experienced outages in Plymouth and the town of Belhaven.

Dominion tells WITN, a transition line in Beaufort County was damaged by the storm, crews have repaired that line, and power should be working regularly again.

Great job to those Tideland employes. They kept there members advised on their phone system at all times. They always come to the plate to fix the power when called. With the great leadership of Jeff Ahearn calling the shots it was done with a the highest of standards!!! THANKS TIDELAND EMC
