Beaufort County Church Break-Ins

Beaufort County Sheriff’s are now investigating a series of local church break-ins that happened over the past couple of days in the Washington area.

The three included: Old Ford Church, Harvest Church, and Rosemary Church.

The Sheriff’s Office believes the three most recent break ins may be linked to six other church break-ins that have been reported in Beaufort County since December.

In all nine cases, a thief or thieves broke in, investigators think they were searching for cash, and made off with money and electronics.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is being asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at 252-946-7111.

Thank you Stan well put. Harvest is my home church and I hope they catch the people who did this. My thoughts and prayers are with all the churches that have been broken in to.

Ben turning the other cheek is not giving people the right to steal from you.You have really been burnt by some people in a church as we can tell by your attitude.People love to use that verse to try to control christians and to try get them to not stand up for themselves. God didn't teach us to be doormats. Are there problems in the church yes but I'll take the good thats there over the problems anyday. The property inside the church is there for the worship of God and the promotion of the ministry. If someone has the energy to steal they have the energy to work and what did Paul say about those that would not work. If these "needy" people had asked I know these churches would have tried to help.Just the repairs to the doors cost enough to feed one of the thieves for a week. Don't call these people needy. The church isn't perfect, WHY, because I m there and God is still working in me to become better man.To all my friends at Harvest my prayers are with you.

Not necessarily God's House. Churches are merely buildings where people can go to fill their souls with self-righteous: (affected, canting, complacent, egotistical, goody-goody*, holier-than-thou*, hypocritical, noble, pharisaic, pietistic, pious, preachy, sanctimonious, self-satisfied, superior etc.) God is around you every day. God does not necessarily follow you to Church. Church is a Tax Free, Non Profit Organization, Sometimes Segregated and Selective. There are good Churches and there are bad churches, as, There are good doctors and there are bad doctors. Kids have no respect, because they have figured it out: Christians will turn the other cheek, and will not prosecute in the eyes of the almighty. What the Church acquires in good faith, is there for the "NEEDY."
