In 1908 William Howard Taft was elected President, Henry Ford produced his first Model T automobile and it was also the year the Chicago Cubs last won the World Series. Country Rover Tom Skinner met an Eastern Carolina woman who remembers all that and more, she's celebrating her 100th birthday this week.

I know Ms. Mamie from when her grandaughter used to go to the same I church I did growing up. She has always been such a sweet lady with a nice family. Congrats on your 100th birthday! Everyone can learn from your little pearls of wisdom! Thanks for sharing this story.
