Northside boys run winning streak to 45

Jacksonville -- The Northside High School boys basketball team ran its current winning streak to 45 games with a 74-48 win at White oak on Tuesday night.

Monarchs senior Kenny Dye scored 25 points and eclipsed the 1,000 career point plateau in the process.

The Monarchs improved to 15-0 on the season and haven't lost a game since February 27, 2016.

Also from the Onslow County area on Tuesday night, the Jacksonville boys beat Havelock 76-54 and the Jacksonville girls also won by handing the Rams a 70-32 loss which was Havelock's first loss of the season.
