ECU Softball Announces Highly-Touted 2018 Signing Class

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Faith Jarvis, Bailey Ledvina and Keira Womack have signed national letters of intent to attend East Carolina University and compete for the softball program, according to an announcement Wednesday by third-year head coach Courtney Oliver.

The trio comprises the No. 52 ranked recruiting class in the nation according to FloSoftball. It is the second-straight year ECU has signed a highly-rated recruiting class as the six-member 2017 group was tabbed No. 22 by the same entity.

Faith Jarvis (Outfield • Lexington, N.C. • North Davidson High School)

· Ranked the No. 71 recruit in the nation by FloSoftball.

· Led North Davidson to the North Carolina 4A state title in 2017 as the Knights swept No. 2 nationally ranked Cape Fear High School in the championship series.

· Entering her senior season, Jarvis owns a .431 career batting average and has tallied 87 hits, 40 RBI, 85 runs scored and 53 stolen bases.

· Has helped guide North Davidson to an 81-16 overall record and 33-3 conference mark in three seasons.

· Notched a .500 batting average her junior campaign (2017) with 56 hits, 27 RBI, 43 runs scored, five doubles, seven triples and 32 stolen bases.

· Earned all-district honors in 2016 and 2017 as well as all-state recognition in 2017.

· Competes for Lady Lightning Gold Team Miken.

Bailey Ledvina (Infield • Alachua, Fla. • Santa Fe High School)

· Ranked the No. 194 recruit in the nation by FloSoftball.

· Carries a .369 career batting average into her senior season as she has also racked up 104 hits, 86 RBI, 68 runs scored and 20 doubles.

· Helped lead Santa Fe to a 21-7 overall record and 6-2 conference mark after tallying a .352 batting average, 31 hits, 31 runs scored and 28 RBI.

· Played on the varsity squad at P.K. Yonge High School as an eighth grader as well as her freshman and sophomore campaigns.

· Earned Florida 5A Second Team All-State honors as a sophomore and junior.

· Was the starting shortstop as an eighth grader in the 2014 Florida 4A state championship game.

· Competes for Santa Fe Inferno.

· Hit .437, .368 and .481 with a combined 10 home runs over the last three summers.

Keira Womack (Infield • Ashburn, Va. • Rock Ridge High School)

· Enters her senior season with a batting average upwards .500 and 15 home runs.

· Earned 2017 4A All-West Region Second-Team honors in 2017.

· Named to the Conference 21B First Team as a sophomore and junior as well as the Second Team her freshman season.

· Competes for Virginia Glory Mertz-Neuhart, helping lead the club to a third-place finish at the 2015 PGF Platinum Nationals and a top 25 placement at the same tournament in 2016.

· Led Virginia Glory with a .688 (6-for-11) batting average, four doubles and a home run at the prestigious ITD Showcase tournament in Colorado this past summer.
