Carden tosses six touchdowns, Baltimore falls in home opener to Tampa Bay

BALTIMORE -- The Tampa Bay Storm (3-1) defeated the Baltimore Brigade (1-3) Sunday afternoon by a score of 62-55 in front of 5,915 fans at Royal Farms Arena.

This was the first meeting in series history between these two franchises. Storm receiver LaMark Brown caught the game-winning score with 5.0 seconds left in regulation. The Storm has started the season with a record of 3-1, its best record since the 2014 season.

The Storm was led by quarterback Randy Hippeard. He finished the night completing 31-of-40 passes for 285 yards and eight touchdowns. His top target was Joe Hills who caught 13 passes for 126 yards and four touchdowns. He now has a touchdown reception in 72 consecutive regular season games.

Defensive back Paul Stephens made his Storm debut with a pair of fumble recoveries. He would return one for 46 yards and a touchdown. Stephens finished the night with 7.0 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown.

The Brigade was led by quarterback Shane Carden who finished the night having completed 23-of-35 passes for 357 yards and six touchdowns.
