GREENVILLE, NC -- ECU senior guard B.J. Tyson will leave Greenville as one of the top players in program history.

He ranks fifth on the school's all-time scoring list, but his journey with the Pirates hasn't been easy.

His mother, Katricia Robinson, battled Stage 3 stomach cancer during his junior season, a time when B.J. was hurt with a knee injury.
