3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
DirectionsMix milk, sugar, cocoa and salt in large saucepan.
Cook over low heat until mixture hits 234° on candy thermometer or soft ball forms in cold water (crack test)
Remove from heat. Add the butter and vanilla to mixture...do not mix. Allow mixture to sit until it reaches room temp.
Whip fudge with wooden spoon until it just starts to thicken up (usually 5 to 10 minutes).
Quickly poor into square pan or round pie dish.
Allow fudge to cool and harden...cut into pieces.
