WITN’S Teacher of the Week: Christi Johnson of Snow Hill Primary

SNOW HILL, NC (WITN) - WITN's Teacher of the Week for April 4 is Christi Johnson of Snow Hill Primary in Greene County.

Johnson teaches first grade and has been teaching for eight years.

She graduated from East Carolina University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She went on to earn her Master’s of Science in Child Development Family Relations in 2014. In 2017, she achieved National Board Certification.

Johnson has served on various committees throughout her career, including Leadership Team, new teacher mentor, clinical teacher for ECU students majoring in education and grade level chair.

The person who nominated Johnson wrote: “Christi strives to grow professionally as an educator, and also holds the same expectations for her all of students. Christi manages a perfectly run classroom from behavior to academics. She is grade level chair for first grade and a helpful colleague to her peers. Christi is an asset to have at Snow Hill Primary.”
