WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) - The 32nd annual Lights of Love tree lighting ceremony took place at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington Thursday night.
People were invited to make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one, with the lights on the tree serving as a remembrance of that donation.
In addition to the tree lighting, the St. John's Disciples of Christ Choir and the Eastern Elementary School chorus also performed.
There was a children's art contest and an appearance by Santa.
Donations can still be made. That money is then used to fund projects at the hospital.
