Two accused of breaking into Pitt County home, stealing jewelry

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Two people have been arrested for breaking into a home and stealing jewelry.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says Jonathan Jones, 30, and Amanda Prescott, 26, both of Greenville, broke into a home on Major Smith Road on Friday night.

Deputies say jewelry and a jewelry box were reported missing.

Jones is charged with breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Prescott is facing the same charges with an additional possession of stolen goods charge.

Both were placed in the Pitt County Detention Center, Jones on a $25,000 bond, Prescott on a $35,000 bond.
