Construction work in Jacksonville is causing headaches more so than usual today.

The city says the traffic signals are out at U.S. 17 and Piney Green Road.

Construction work on the long awaited Piney Green widening project damaged the traffic signals. Power to the signal has been cut off for safety reasons while city crews make repairs.

The signals are expected to be out for the next four to six hours and drivers are being urged to use other routes, if possible.
