Shelters celebrate nationwide pet adoption drive

Hundreds of animal shelters across the country will host a nationwide pet adoption drive Saturday for National Clear the Shelter Day.

In 2016, more than 50,000 shelter pets found their forever homes with families across throughout the United States.

The Wayne County Animal Adoption and Education Center is one shelter here in the east that is participating in the drive. They are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their shelter on Clingman Street in Goldsboro

The Wayne County shelter says they hope to find loving homes for their animals.
