GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - Greenville police say a woman called in a hit and run, but she was the one who was behind the wheel.
Police were called to the intersection of Howell and Garland Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday for a reported hit and run of a pedestrian. They said the victim, Patrick Harris, was alert after getting hit and was taken to Vidant Medical Center with minor injuries.
By 4:45 a.m., Greenville police say they had taken the man's girlfriend into custody, labeling the case a domestic assault. Officers say Christian Snuggs is the one who called police to report the hit and run, though she was the driver.
Snuggs was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
The woman was jailed on a $50,000 bond.
