Repairs begin on railroad crossing section of Greenville Boulevard

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN)- A 3 day construction project has started on one busily traveled section of Greenville Boulevard.

Construction began at 7 a.m. on the railroad crossing on Greenville Boulevard just short of the intersection with 14th Street.

The DOT says that closure is expected to last until 5 p.m. on Friday.

Traffic will be detoured to 14th Street and Brownlea Drive to bring drivers back to Greenville Boulevard.

Officials say the closure is needed for repairs to the crossing.
