O'Reilly Auto Parts store robbed in Washington

WASHINGTON, NC (WITN) - Police are looking for two men who robbed an auto parts store in Washington Friday afternoon.

The O'Reilly Auto Parts on Carolina Avenue was held up around 12:45 p.m.

Chief Stacy Drakeford says a man came into the store, while another was waiting in a vehicle that was parked in an adjacent parking lot.

The gunman, who had a black semi-automatic handgun, is described as a black man, 5'8" tall with his face covered. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The chief says $550 was taken in the robbery and that no one was injured.

The two men got away in an early 2000 white Ford Explorer.
