We are just three short weeks away from one of the largest festivals to take place in the east and this year you can expect to see some new additions to the two day festival.
For the second year in a row, the 36th annual MumFest in New Bern will start with a kickoff concert as three country music artists are set to perform at Tryon Palace.
There will also be a number of street performers like an extreme pogo team, carnival rides and of course lots of food and craft vendors.
And new this year will be a beer garden with musicians set to play throughout the weekend.
Organizers say they are expecting this festival, October 8th and 9th, to be bigger than ever with more things to do.
MumFest Music Chair Buddy Bengal says, "We're trying to add some more excitment with the beer garden, we're trying to add some pieces so that everyone in the family has something to do and is excited to be in downtown New Bern."
WITN is once again a proud MumFest sponsor.
