PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Another debate will take place Thursday night for candidates vying for a position in one Eastern Carolina county.
The Benevolence Corps in Greenville is hosting its second debate of the year between candidates running for Pitt County sheriff.
A meet and greet will begin at 5:30 pm at the Eppes Recreation Center on Nash Street. The debate will run from 6:30 pm- 8:15 pm.
The third and final debate for candidates for state House District #8 seat will take place next Thursday, March 22. Candidates for Pitt County's district attorney seat debated earlier this month.
Mid-term elections will be here before we know it and one local organization is hoping to educate voters with a series of candidate debates here in the east.

The debate will run from 6:30 to 8:15. A debate for Sheriff candidates is planned for next Thursday, March 15th and a debate for the candidates for the NC- House District #8 seat will be held on March 22nd.
