Jacksonville military community gobbles up 2,000 turkey dinners from USO

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Service members and their families were enjoying a traditional holiday spread at the USO of Jacksonville.

More than 100 turkeys and 50 hams were cooked for the feast.

The USO also served a meal at Camp Devil Dog on base.

National Guard members, reservists, and retirees were also invited to attend with a valid military I.D.

Around 2,000 people were served by the organization this Thanksgiving.
