Houston police thanking Eastern Carolina police departments for donations

HOUSTON, T.X. (WITN) - As the recovery from Hurricane Harvey continues in Houston, police there are offering their thanks.

The Houston Police Department posted on Facebook pictures of the donations they received from local police departments in North Carolina.

They said Hurricane Harvey directly affected 400 Houston police officers and their families.

Monday, 130 supply pallets arrived to their department.

They said the personal hygiene products, clothing and diapers for their officers' children will help and they thanked the people of North Carolina for the generosity.
