Greenville Police need help identifying credit card thieves

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Police are asking for your help to identify three credit card thieves.

Greenville police say a woman was shopping at Harris Teeter when a Hispanic man distracted her by asking questions.

While the woman answered questions, security cam footage shows a Hispanic woman went through the victim's purse and stole her wallet.

The victim did not discover her wallet was missing until she attempted to pay for her groceries.

By the time she reported the cards missing to GPD and her financial institutions, the suspects had run up thousands of dollars at two stores.

Suspects tried to buy more items at a third store, but were denied.

On security cam footage at that store, another female suspect was pictured with the one who had stolen the wallet.

Anyone with information is asked to call Greenville Police Department (252) 329-4315 or Crime Stoppers (252) 758-7777. Crime Stoppers offers up to a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
