Greenville Police investigating armed robbery at Papa John's Pizza

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Greenville Police are searching for a man who robbed a fast food pizza place at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.

A white man in a gray hooded sweatshirt went into the Papa John's Pizza at 1322 East 10th Street around 2 p.m. and demanded money, Sergeant Etheridge said.

The man then ran away behind the restaurant, Etheridge said.

The store manager says no money was taken during the robbery.

Police brought K9s to search the scene, but the rain made it difficult for them to pick up the tracks, Etheridge said.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
