GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A celebration was held Friday as one summer camp in the east came to an end.
The 8-week long Greenville Housing Authority Summer Explosion camp, at Moyewood Center, wrapped up.
Participants get to go on field trips, learn history, math and reading.
Different agencies from the area also came and worked with the students.
Organizers say a program like this keeps the kids out of trouble and the parents know their kids are in a safe learning environment.
During Friday's event, campers came up and gave individual presentations, and the participants of the camp also received awards.
Organizers hope the size of the camp will grow next year.
If you would like for your child to participate, you can contact the Moyewood Cultural and Recreation Center.
