GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) Restaurants and stores will now be able to sell alcohol earlier on Sundays in Greenville.

Greenville is the 81st community to approve the Brunch Bill, which allows the sale of alcohol to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday instead of noon.

Rucker John's General Manager Kevin Gableman says, "You know with starting a little earlier and extra 5 to 6 hundred dollars per hour helps out any business and it definitely could increase for us."

Christina Korleski Scullery Manager says, "Some people come to the bar and try and order something from me and I'm like 'Oh I'm sorry you'll have to wait just a little bit...' and they'll say oh you know what nevermind, I don't really think I want it that badly, so I feel like it would add to their experience and furthermore just stop taking away from their experience."

The council vote was unanimous and the new hours are effective immediately.
