Greenville falls to Mexico, takes 4th place in LLWS

WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. (WITN) - North State Little League from Greenville finishes fourth in the Little League World Series after losing to Mexico 14-8.

The Greenville team took the field against Mexico Sunday morning, a day after falling to Lufkin, Texas in the United States Championship Game.

Despite losing these two games, North State Little League left its legacy in Williamsport. North State was the first United States team to throw two consecutive no-hitters in the tournament's history.

The city of Greenville plans to celebrate the boys of North State on Wednesday with a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. in Elm Street Park.
