Great white shark swimming up North Carolina's coast

Hilton, a 12.5 foot great white shark, has been located swimming up North Carolina's coast according to Ocearch.

On Friday, Hilton was located off the coast of Wrightsville Beach shortly after 10 p.m.

Saturday, the great white shark was spotted off Cape Lookout National Seashore before continuing his journey north.

Hilton most recently was located Sunday shortly after 2 p.m. off Hatteras Island.

Hilton was named after Hilton Head, SC after he was caught during the Lowcountry Expedition.

Since being tagged by Osearch on May 3rd, the 1326 lbs mature shark has been located several times off North Carolina's coast and has traveled as far south as Florida.
