Gas prices are on the rise again across our state.
According to GasBuddy, prices at the pump have risen 1.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.38/g across North Carolina. That's still cheaper than the national average, which rings in at $2.52/g.
Despite the rise, prices are still about a 10 cents lower than they were one month ago in North Carolina and about 8 cents lower nationally.
GasBuddy Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan McTeague says we may see some relief in the coming weeks. "; March comes in like a lamb but goes out like a lion. There are early indications that gasoline prices are about to strengthen helped by a noticeable number of refineries out for maintenance and a stronger demand outlook than we saw last year."
