Down East Wood Ducks offering discounted tickets on Wednesday for first responders

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - The Down East Wood Ducks are celebrating all local first responders by offering discounted tickets to Wednesday's game.

All Fire, EMT and Police personnel will receive $3 off admission price as the Woodies take on the Winston Salem Dash at 7 p.m in Grainger Stadium.

Also, following the game on Wednesday, all senior citizens are invited to run or walk the bases. This promotion is sponsored by Lenoir Orthopedics.

The Woodies are playing in a 8 game home series against the Winston Salem Dash and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans starting June 26th through July 3rd.

Below is a list of promotions for each game:

Monday, June 26th: $1 hot dogs and $3 off admission for military personnel

Tuesday, June 27th: $1 tacos, buy one get one tickets with Food Lion MVP card

Wednesday, June 28th: $3 off admission for all Police, Fire and EMT responders. Post game seniors run and walk the bases.

Thursday, June 29th: $1 Bud Lite and Pepsi

Friday, June 30th: Food Truck Rodeo, $3 Mother Earth Drafts and post-game fireworks

Saturday, July 1st: $3 off admission with a Pepsi can and first 1,000 fans will receive a jersey as they enter the gates.

Sunday, July 2nd: Kids 12 and under can run the bases following the game.

Monday: July 3rd: The Woodies are celebrating the 4th of July with post-game fireworks.

All weekday games begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday's game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. while first pitch on Sunday is at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets begin at $6 for Sunday - Wednesday games and are $8 for Thursday games and $10 for Friday and Saturday games.
