DEPUTIES: Washington man wanted for shooting 'armed and dangerous'

BEAUFORT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - Deputies say a man wanted for a Beaufort County shooting should be considered armed and dangerous.

Marquel Warren of Washington is wanted on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting injury and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The shooting happened around 10:00 p.m. Thursday night on Jack Street in the Mimosa Mobile Home Park outside of Washington. Deputies found that a 34-year-old man had been shot multiple times.

Investigators learned that multiple people were outside the home when an argument began between the victim and Warren. Deputies say Warren pulled a gun and shot the man. They say the two continued to struggle and the victim was shot again.

The victim was sent to Vidant Medical Center and deputies expect him to undergo surgery.
